Devilfish Poker Review

Get Familiar Before You Play

Knowing that Dave "the Devilfish" was once a Ultimate Poker Pro Player, I had my doubts about the site. UltimateBet and AbsolutePoker are known to have systematically ripped off many topflight online players.

The Devilfish has a very brandable name and maybe that's why he decided to distance himself from the UB/AP network, now ironically called Cereus (Probably taking it more "Cereusly" they wont get caught with their pants down again).

Dave Ulliott is a larger than life character, both on and off the felt. His character will surely rub off on his own branded site. As a world champion poker player and a longstanding successful professional gambler, he is not afraid to take calculated risks.

One gamble is the implementation of 32 Draw Poker. It's a fairly new but exciting game, a game for players who are a little bored of the Texas Holdem craze. Although a topflight holdem player himself, the Devilfish takes a keener interest in the less popular poker variations.

Player Traffic at Devilfish Poker

The Devilfish site is still in its infancy, the traffic is fairly low but steadily growing. His name alone will surely make the site a success.

Unfortunately the site is not open to US players due to gambling restrictions. The best time to play is during UK peak hours

Player Competition at Devilfish Poker

I would say the competition is relatively weak at the moment, probably due to the fact that the traffic is fairly low. I would say this is a great site to play if you are a casual user. If you are a player who like to play at 10 or 20 tables at a time, this site is not for you.

I would say that the players on this site are pretty wreckless, any solid player can easily sit back and make a regular profit simply by exploiting other players weaknesses, especially overbets and silly bluffs.

Bonuses at Devilfish Poker

The Devilfish Poker site offers some great ongoing bonuses and promotions at the moment. You will also collect an above industry standard bonus by signing up via any of the DevilfishPoker links on our site.

If you like a smaller, friendlier site, its well worth a try in my opinion.

Games at Devilfish Poker

Games can be played at limit, No-Limit or Pot Limit, dependent on the game you chose. Games are offered in Limit, Pot Limit or No Limit depending on the variation of poker played.

Ring game stakes range from micro stake €0.02/€0.04 up to highroller status €750/€1500.

Support at Devilfish Poker

Devilfish currently offer a 24/7 support system. Some poker sites are notorious for their poor support service, I tested them and they came up trumps, with a detailed response that day so I am more than satisfied with their service.

They support comes in 4 different languages, English, Finnish, Russian and Swedish.

Overview of Devilfish Poker

To conclude the Devilfish Poker Review I would say the site has a lot going for it. My first visual impression was that the homepage looks a little tacky but when I tested out the site, I was pleasantly surprised.

They have a great ongoing bonus structure. They have a non downloadable option which is great. The site is Mac and linux compatible. The only drawbacks I find is the lack of players which make it impossible to complete my 100 SNG average a day and the fact that US players are ineligible to play for real money.

Everything else about the site says its a winner and its a keep for me on a casual basis.
