Americana have slightly different rules from traditional poker. A flush is ranked higher than a full house due to the reduced stack of cards used.

- Up to 6 players can play at the table.
- An anti is often used during play.
- Each player receives one face up and one face down card.
- The betting begins after you receive your first 2 cards.
- A third face up card is dealt followed by another betting round.
- Players receive a fourth and fifth card, each followed by a betting round.
- On showdown, the best hand wins. Note : a flush beats a Full House.
